Application Support Analysts

Description
We have an immediate opening for numerous Application Support Analysts with our client. This is an opportunity with a fantastic organization located east of Pittsburgh. The Application Support Analyst will professionally and courteously interact with customers while responding to requests in a timely manner, consistent with the company s service level standards. The analyst will operate under moderate supervision and be the front-line for owning and resolving product technical issues, as well as provide advice for customers, prospects and internal staff members. The analyst will work independently, and as part of a team with a self-starting attitude and the desire to learn and grow quickly. This position demands excellent customer service skills, various technical skills, organizational skills, troubleshooting skills and a desire to continually learn new products.

Job Specific Responsibilities:
Respond to telephone calls and email requests for technical support in a timely manner; handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally
Provided application and technical support to identify, research, and resolve application and hardware issues
Troubleshoot problems with Windows XP Professional, Windows 2003 Server, and Windows 2000 Professional and Server
Extensively use Microsoft SQL Server to investigate database problems and create update and fix scripts
Create and modify Crystal Reports to customers specifications
Train customers on the use of internal applications as well as various Microsoft products
Track, monitor, and provide updates to customers to insure a timely resolution
Perform necessary product testing to determine if the problem is an application issue, user issue, training issue, bug, or enhancement request
Act as an account manager, which may have include making regularly scheduled conference calls, being proactive in reviewing client accounts, and initiating frequent communication with primary contacts
Attended ongoing technology training

Requirements
Requirements:
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Superior verbal and written communication skills - must be fluent in English.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Experience with LAN and Web based applications.
Working knowledge of IIS, COM Components, MS Access, MS SQL Server 2000, Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 OS, and Networking.
Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 2000 workstation and server and Windows 2003 server.
Bachelor s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.
Prior customer service experience and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience working in or managing, hospital plant operations or clinical engineering departments a plus.
If applicable, remote home office that meets or exceeds the work at home standards.
Desire to continually learn new technology and updated product lines.
