Job description:
Pomeroy IT Solutions, a leader in the IT industry, has an immediate long term
assignment available for an AIX System Administrator.
Job Title: AIX System Administrator
Job Location: work from home
Pomeroy IT Solutions has been in the IT industry since 1981. Today, we employ
over 4,000 people, have 26 locations and provide companies with IT solutions
ranging from application development to storage strategies to desktop
management.
Job Duration: 9 months
Requirements:
Resource would be supporting @ 30 AIX servers at multiple sites. Candidate
should have AIX 5.x skills including ability to design, configure, and build SUN
or HP infrastructure. In addition, resource should have experience with storage
management (SAN) technology. AIX OS 4.3.3 - 5.x
General Skills:
1- Prefer to be located initially in Columbus, OH area but can work remote
2 - Skilled in Sun; HP and Linux a plus; knowledge of Solaris 10 and container
technology
3 - Hands-on experience with Solaris builds, configurations and ongoing support
4 - HP Experience desired along with SUN knowledge
5 - Excellent teaming, communications and customer-facing skills
6 - Ability to work effectively in team environment
7 - Veritas and HP Clustering strongly desired
8 - One skilled in AIX; HP and Linux a plus; knowledge of latest
Other: Strong problem determination/resolution skill and knowledge of help desk
applications; Should possess ability to work via help desk ticketing for problem
management. Knowledge of change management methodology. Strong communication and
teaming skills.

ANY, Colorado, Nebraska, Ohio, Washington
