This client is a fortune 500 company that is performing well in their segment and should offer a good growth opportunity for the right individual.
Job Summary/Purpose:
Responsible for developing new business and sales opportunities leading directly to revenue generation in assigned territory and industry. Role requires development and implementation of territory selling strategies to secure sales growth consistent with corporate business unit Annual Operating Plan.
Essential Job Functions:
Promote Process Instrumentation business for the assigned industry and territory to realize annual operating plan bookings and revenues, Analyzers a real plus!
Insure that customer quotations are produced and presented in a timely manner
Prospect and qualify potential new accounts
Manage assigned customer accounts
Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads and actions through Salesforce.com CRM system
Provide technical and commercial support to customers
Interface directly with all customers to match needs with Company solutions
Plan, organize and accurately forecast territory results on a monthly basis
Manage the relationship and performance of independent selling channels as assigned
Maintain industry and territory rapport by participation in appropriate professional organizations and forums
Maintain strong working knowledge of flow computing equipment and measurement standards as related to natural gas
Interface with Field Service to exchange customer information and insure adequate support of the account base
Participate in local tradeshows to present and showcase Company solutions
Other Job Requirements:
Travel, 40%-60% of time in the assigned geographic territory.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Indirectly manage independent selling channels as assigned
Key Business Metrics:
Bookings against quota
Customer Satisfaction score
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
Experience/Skills:
2 plus years Oil & Gas experience preferably in a selling role
Ability to analyze data trends utilizing MS-Excel
Ability to persuade and influence
This is a Central US territory and individual will work from home, which could be anywhere, preferrably Houston, but could be Dallas area or Oklahoma City area.
Candidate might come from an inside sales background.
Position does have a bonus opportunity over the base salary of 25% which could bring total to $115,000.
