Technical Support Specialist II
Profile:
This is a great opportunity for an A+ Certified technician to work from home in a challenging technical support role. This person will provide technical support via phone to field service representatives and technicians in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging moderate to complex hardware, software or networking equipment problems at client sites. The technical support specialist will exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action to repair the problem.
Qualifications and Skills:
· P.C. hardware and Operating Systems installation and troubleshooting knowledge.
· Server and/or network equipment troubleshooting AND peripherals and accessories diagnostics troubleshooting.
· 3-5 years technical troubleshooting experience of PCs, servers, printers, networking and peripheral equipment.
· A+ certification and/or Microsoft certification (MCDST, MCSA or MSTS) desirable.
· Vista knowledge desirable.
· Strong knowledge and/or certification on DELL and HP equipment - Primarily Dell.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
· Previous telephone technical support experience desired.
· Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies.
· A desire and willingness to do telephone tech support. Must be able to work flexible shifts. May be expected to work on-call and/or after-hours at times.
