Client is a niche global IT Service provider specializing in SOA Implementations, middleware, legacy modernization, integration, and testing. They provide end-to-end technology solutions across enterprise and offshore competency centers. Certified for SEI-CMM Level 5 and ISO 27001. They have a very thriving culture, are extremely stable (profitable for past 13 Quarters & revenues doubled each year for past 3 years), flexible organization, and only hire the best of the best. Salary is no issue, they will hire the top candidates from anywhere in the world & will sponsor any Visa.
We have an immediate need for multiple SQL Server Senior Engineers on site in Houston, TX with one of their major clients. May be some work from home, and minor travel (10%). This company has clients like JP Morgan Chase, IBM, Virgin Mobile, to name a few.
- Must have Bachelors in CIS / similar. Advanced degree highly preferred.
- Must have 10+ years experience in Database Development / Design / Administration
- Must have 5+ years of SQL experience (installation, configuration, upgrade/path, troubleshooting, backup/recovery. SQL 2005 a priority over SQL 2000)
- Must be skilled Database Designer & Developer, Windows System Engineer, DBA
- Windows Scripting, .NET framework, Perl, Database migration
- Operating systems - Windows ’00/’03, Administration skills
- Experience in large enterprise support environment
Other:
- Must have very good communication skills & good documentation skills (experience writing end-user documentation)
- International exposure a plus
- Experience in telecommunications, banking, insurance, etc desirable but not a necessity
-Candidate works on-site with client. This is why they report to the Business Development Manager. Travel is minimal.
