About the position:
We are looking for a Senior Pre-Sales Software Engineer to support sales efforts in the Eastern Region. We're looking for a passionate individual who appreciates the thrill of mapping technology into business needs. The ability to articulate our strong value proposition is just as critical as perceptive sales skills and technical knowledge
Primary Responsibilities:
*Experience with customer facing and revenue generating activities in a presales role
*Solid understanding of internet architecture and technology
*Technical participation in closing sales. Specifically: Responding to Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposal (RFPs)
*Delivering standard product demonstrations
*Building custom POCs the involve data manipulation techniques, scripting technologies, and software configuration
*Creating professional services Statements of Work (SOWs)
Job Requirements:
*3 - 5 Years of Experience
*Ability to travel 30% of the time
Required Skills:
*Experience with enterprise software sales and software-as-a-service
*Solid understanding of databases and database development including SQL scripting, preferably MS SQL Server
*Scripting for data processing, preferably Perl
Desirable Skills:
*Experience with e-commerce technology such as web analytics, e-commerce platforms, rich media, email marketing, SEM and SEO
*Server page scripting, preferably ASP.NET (preferably C# and 2.0) and/or experience designing and developing Java/JSP based applications
*Experience building ROI Model and business case justifications.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
*Excellent communicator and a high business acumen
*Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and articulate them at all levels
*Good work ethic is critical; we are looking for people with initiative and integrity
*Ability to work effectively in multi-national teams
*Passion, enthusiasm and energy
*Experience in a dynamic small/growing company environment would be an advantage
*Able to work from home office
Salary Range: Depending on Experience
