The Cardiac Electrophysiology Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care thorough assessment, planning care based on patient needs and consistent with the patients expectation of treatment. Executes therapeutic physician or nursing initiated interventions, and evaluates the patients response to care and the attainment of or progress towards patient outcomes. Assists in all procedures performed in the Electrophysiology Laboratory. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. Through documentation and verbal communication, essential information is shared with health care team members. Performs unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive WORK and professional environment. QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Graduation FROM an accredited school of nursing (2) Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN Degree (3) Minimum of two years specialized nursing experience applicable to the unit (4) Licensed by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners (or eligible) (5) Current Certification as BLS Healthcare Provider SALARY: Above salary scale is a national projection so it will vary depending on location.
