PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as a lead process/piping designer for projects in the food and confections industry
Lead and support process work for clients as assigned, to include machine layout, sanitary piping, bulk material handling, dilute phase airvey, dust collection, utilities and industrial HVAC
Create concepts and proposals
Utilize AutoCAD, Microstation 3D and Plant 4D to prepare drawings
Prepare sketches, drawing pipe isometrics, measuring equipment, etc, in a manufacturing environment
Practice ISA (Instrument Society of America) standards for P & IDs
Interface with client to insure expectations are met on time with a quality product.
Possess these characteristics: talented, motivated and value-oriented person with the desire to be part of a self-directed, collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
10+ years process/piping design experience for industrial projects to include:
piping design plans, designing pipe supports, elevations and isometrics
10+ years experience with process system design in the food and beverage industry
Knowledge and experience with 3D piping design Pipe stress/flexibility analysis
Previous experience developing Bill of Materials Construction Support experience for a mill environment
Experience estimating jobs, writing proposals, managing
Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation 3D and Plant 4D
BSME or BSCHE, PE Preferred
Lead process team and provide coaching/mentoring as required
Provide QC support of mechanical packages including layouts, PEDs, PFDs, construction documents and equipment specifications.
Provide installation support and start up support for assigned projects
Desires IL PE License
Salary: $60,000 to 90,000, plus bonus potential based on based on billable work and company performance
