Job description:
Datanomics, a full service provider of computer consulting services since 1982, is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a Full Time position with a Telecom Company.
Candidate will be able to work from home - but must be willing to travel about 60% - both nationally and internationally - and will be spending a lot of time at customer sites.
* Knowledge of methods of management of multiple technologies with a NOC - particularly IP/MPLS
* Knowledge of e-Tom and the ability to design processes to the sub-task level and to define Methods and procedures
* An understanding of service assurance metrics and process designs that can support best in class metrics.
* Knowledge of COTS service assurance products embedded functionality and its relationships to the processes
* Familiarity with Remedy and Siebel as system support in Service Assurance and trouble ticketing
* Candidate should be knowledgeable in applicable service level agreements, how they are defined, measured, managed and tracked.
* Experience in IXC and must have an analytical background
* Ability to create process flows in a tool such as Visio or Casewise.
* Ability to travel - Significant amounts of work will be conducted on client sites worldwide. Estimated 60% travel during peak periods
* Background in LEC
* Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or past experience designing NOCs.
