Large Corporation seeks an Oracle Transportation - Logistics Consultant.
Candidates can live anywhere. Travel is Monday thru Thursday. Work from home on Friday.
Candidates will be responsible for working with a conversion team updating existing systems to Oracle 11i across the entire company worldwide.
Position Summary
This job provides internal consulting and real world experience and expertise in the field of ERP process design and module implementation (Specifically Oracle) to the corporation. This position will reduce the need for external consultants while building the knowledge expertise within the organization.
Principle responsibilities include creating a center of excellence, implementing and educating ERP implementations best practices across the company, and be able to be allocated to a specific project and bring management and process expertise to aid the Bus and sectors in their ERP implementations. • This position will focus on supporting the Supply Chain organization and lead initiatives in the area of transportation, logistics, and related technologies. • In addition, this position will prioritize and direct key initiatives and process improvements in area of logistics; be accountable for delivering projects on time, on budget, and with expected results • Function as the Corporate champion for client transportation management systems (TMS) and related technologies • Maintain requirements and implementation plans for transportation systems • Establish integration strategy/standards between logistics systems and back office applications
Job Description

Function as the Corporate champion for client transportation management systems (TMS) and related technologies. Maintain requirements and implementation plans for transportation systems. Establish integration strategy/standards between logistics systems and back office application.
Will be required to analyze current processes, and implement most cost effective and best practice process changes to accommodate the implementation of the next system. Apply best practice concepts to be used enterprise wide.
