Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy, an active Massachusetts license and registration with the appropriate board. Experience in the area of developmental and physical disabilities is preferred.
Supervisor: Director of Day Services
Sign on bonus of $500.00 at date of hire. Additional $1000.00 bonus after a year of employment.
Responsibilities:
This position is very independent and flexible and allows the Therapist to develop their own schedule around the program hours, as well as the ability to do work from home. Provide evaluations and treatment to adults with diverse developmental disabilities with a focus on occupational therapy at 2 Day Habilitation programs located in Watertown Square. Design and lead small groups related to areas of therapy specialty. Provide creative services to individuals within the sited programs in many areas also including community integration and volunteer opportunities. Illustrate teamwork and training to all members of day habilitation team. Work with other UCP Therapists for collaboration relating to adaptive equipment, medical and therapeutic needs. The position would also include supervision of an Occupational Therapy Aide and oversight of all OT equipment. Provide in-services and trainings to all staff relating to sensory, group development, fine motor skills, socialization, etc.
