Job description
The User Experience Technologies Dept. at IBM Research addresses various challenges in enhancing the user experience in enterprise web applications by creating novel technologies, both client- and server-side. Areas of research include Web 2.0 and XML-based declarative programming models, video collaboration, interoperability between web and 3D virtual worlds, browser-based tools for building applications, collaborative authoring and sharing of documents, documents as applications, disconnected web applications and state-management, location-based systems and services, mobile Web 2.0, mobile collaboration, smart data visualization, user-centered information discovery, and visual data analytics. Qualified candidates should be enrolled in a MS/PhD program in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and have requisite background/interests in user experience technologies. Proficient in one or more: Java/C/C++; Windows/Linux; Web Technologies. .
Required .
Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year experience in one or more of the follwoing: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related area.
Readyness to work extended periods away from home
English: Basic knowledge
Preferred .
Master's Degree
At least 3 years experience in one or more of the follwoing: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related area.
