Job description
IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Hawthorne, NY is seeking candidates for a summer internship in the Services Research Department. The intern will conduct research and development in the area of IT asset and data discovery with the aim of using the results for improving the integrity and performance of business processes. We are seeking candidates with an interest and experience in one or more of the following areas: systems management, reliability, optimization, and security. Excellent implementation skills in Java are a must. Knowledge of the Eclipse platform is a plus. Preference given to candidates enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Systems management, knowledge in reliability, optimization, or security, programming skills in Java, record of referred publications. .
Required .
Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year experience in one or more of the following: C/C++ programming, operating systems and/or device drivers.
Readyness to work extended periods away from home
English: Basic knowledge
Preferred .
Master's Degree
At least 4 years experience in one or more of the following: C/C++ programming, operating systems and/or device drivers.
