General Summary This is a newly created manager position within Global Compensation, Benefits & Human Resources Technology. This individual will work closely with the Director, Human Resources Communication & Policies and to serve as his/her backup in A) Helping support the communication planning and implementation for projects related to Global Compensation, Benefits & Human Respources Technology, Global Talent Management, Diversity, Organizational Effectiveness & Campbell University as well as liaison with Public Affairs B) Maintaining and communicating HR-related policies and procedures to all employees, and C) Helping to create and maintain a comprehensive Human Resources calendar of events. Focus on the development and execution of Human Resources communications strategies and plans, supporting strategic Human Resource initiatives such as Compensation, Benefits, Human Resource Technology, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Diversity and additional special projects. Responsible for building and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues at all levels. Principal Accountabilities 1. 50% Human Resources communications for a variety of audiences (e.g., senior leadership, HR, managers, and employees) 2. 20% Human Resources policy management and communication 3. 20% Company recognition program submissions and coordination 4. 10% Special events Job Complexity . Draft communications (e.g, presentations, memos, brochures, online newsletter articles, video scripts) on a variety of employee-related topics, including Compensation, Benefits, Human Resources Technology, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Diversity and additional special projects. . Communicate Human Resource strategies, programs and milestones to internal audiences, as appropriate, to keep stakeholders up-to-date on various Human Resources projects and initiatives. . Write / edit Human Resources policies and procedures, including ensure proper review of all new policies and revisions, and maintain online content to ensure employees can easily access information. . Coordinate content and submissions for external awards, including Best Places to Work. . Maintain an overall Human Resources communications calendar. . Write articles for Campbell Today (the companys daily intranet publication). . Help develop and execute a portal website strategy for Human Resources. . Coordinate technical, legal and stakeholder reviews to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of materials. . Act as the communications coordinator for the launch of special Human Resources programs and events, as needed. . Oversee the activities of freelance talent, along with ensuring that their costs are prudent from a budget standpoint. . Explore new communication vehicles to better reach employees, including means to obtain employee feedback. Job Specifications . Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, English or similar degree; . 5-7 years experience creating, writing, editing, proof reading within a professional organization or internal communications experience; . Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and to work in self directed fashion as necessary; . Proven track record in developing and executing communication plans across various media and working with subject matter experts to effectively communicate complex ideas to a broad range of audiences; . Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using technology-based communications; . Human Resource experience desired but not required; . Strong communications skills. Working Conditions Normal office environment, with occasional need to work from home. Generally 40 plus hours a week, including possible evenings and weekends.
