We are seeking friendly, empathetic RNs with professional phone skills to fill multiple telephonic Healthcare Decision Support Coach roles in our Plano, TX office. This position provides a nice change from direct care, as well as plenty of autonomy and potential for advancement. Working with patients with various conditions such as cancer, back problems, knee replacement, obesity and others, your primary responsibilities would include:
Communicating with members by phone to encourage them to become more active in the decision-making process regarding their care
Educating members on their current situations and providing emotional support surrounding diagnosis
Providing treatment options and acting as a resource to patients with related questions
Providing members with options about premium providers
Documenting work in our electronic system
Note: the available shift for this position is 1:30pm to 10:00pm, Monday through Friday (no weekends or holidays). The option to work from home will be available after six months.
Requirements:
Required qualifications include:
Current, unrestricted RN's license
Clinical experience gained in an acute care setting, physician's office or outpatient environment
MS Word, Internet and e-mail proficiency
Preferred qualifications include:
Telephonic experience involving both inbound and outbound calls
Discharge planning experience
A background in managed care
MS Excel skills
BSN
