Responsible for planning, developing and leading the work of a team of Account Managers responsible for meeting client deliverables, account retention and ensures the operational interface between the PBM, Health Plan systems and operations areas. Essential duties may included but are not limited to: Oversees staff to ensure client deliverables are being met including compliance with contractual obligations; performance review meetings with clients are taking place, benefits are set up correctly and claims are adjudication properly. Ad hoc reporting requests or issues/questions are resolved promptly. Achievement of account retention goals. Ensures staff is supporting system migrations, participation on committee/work groups to provide pharmacy subject matter expertise to state health plan and to ensure connectivity and alignment so that client expectations are met. Develops training materials/forums to educate Health Plan Sales/Account Mgmt. associates on NextRx programs how to effectively sell groups on the NextRx integrated value proposition. Performs other duties as assigned. Management responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, counseling and evaluating performance of direct reports.
Qualifications .
BA/BS required MBA preferred. 8-10 years of account mgmt and/or operations experience in the managed care industry. 3 to 5 years of mgmt. experience required. Eight to ten years of PBM Industry experience preferred. Excellent understanding of PBM/Managed Care practices, products, pricing and service delivery model required. Must have thorough understanding of account management principles/tools. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Excellent customer service, communication, planning, project management, problem solving, and leadership skills required. Strong PC Capabilities required. Ability to travel required. .
