Job Title: Application Engineer or Field Service Engineer
Salary range: $75 - 80K USD with participation in company annual bonuses

Company Description:
Corporation is a venture capital backed US company and a world leading designer and manufacturer of plant machinery monitoring equipment. They currently have 30 employees and over 1000 installations on 5 continents. Their customers represent a broad spectrum of industries including Pulp and Paper, Cement, Petrochemical, and Packaging. Their monitoring systems implement advanced video and sensor signal analysis algorithms to provide early warning of product quality problems and mechanical faults in mill/plant machinery. Early warning minimizes the production of poor quality product and allows root cause and repair to be scheduled to minimize downtime, improve efficiency and prevent catastrophic failure. They are rapidly expanding in the Americas, Europe and Asia and we are looking for motivated, competent engineers with industrial process application knowledge (Pulp and Paper a plus) in the US region with some international travel involved.
Job Description:
They are looking for ambitious, creative engineers with strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide consulting, support, and service to our US and global customers. Responsibilities include working with our customers to apply our products to meet customer needs, identify the critical machinery and appropriate camera positions for monitoring, configuring the system to detect the most likely product or machine problems, providing start-up/commissioning services, mill personnel training and follow-up services. The primary responsibility will be for US sites, but some European and world travel is possible. The applicant will work out of their home or possibly out of our main or satellite offices, depending on where they live. He will be responsible for planning his own schedule. It is expected that over 75% of their time will be travel related and the remainder of the time they will be supporting our customers from their home or office.
Required Skills:
Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be self motivated, a technical degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, experience in industrial plants, and experience or willingness to provide field service including extensive travel.
They would like more focus on video application engineering for the new positions. Application Engineer and Field Service Engineer is intended to be the same. They would prefer that the applicant have paper making application background as a plus and it would be good to find someone coming directly from a papermill willing to do extensive travel. The person would be hands on application engineer with great personal skills. They are not looking for direct sales or sales support individuals. No relocation expenses would be involved as the individual will be able to work from their home.
Desirable Skills:
Other desirable skills are high speed video and/or vibration analysis experience, plant maintenance experience, good computer skills, and familiarity with electrical instrumentation. They will provide the necessary training in the use of our equipment.This is a full time position. This position includes a full benefits package.
