JOB MISSION SUMMARY These are the professionals who help us build our business in the national accounts, middle markets, small group markets, distribution channel, group insurance and specialty products areas. Their goal is to meet customer needs and help them make better decisions and about their health care and health care spending. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Individual Consumer Segment is looking for an Aetna Broker Sales Manager to drive aggressive growth within our Individual Medicare and Aetna Advantage products in the assigned territories of Southern New Jersey, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties. - The successful candidate will cultivate strong relationships with General Agents, brokers & other distribution channels to achieve sales, profitability & growth targets & build new distribution partners to support our aggressive Individual growth strategies. - This is at work from home position with minimal travel required. - 50% of compensation is base pay and 50% is bonus with a potential to achieve total annual compensation in excess of $80k. - Developing strategies, executing plans for their franchise and accurately forecasting sales production for both Individual Medicare as well as Individual Aetna Advantage products where available. - Recruits new brokers. - Trains & motivates all brokers and General Agents to sell Individual products. - Articulates Aetnas value proposition. - Works with brokers to develop retention strategies. - Participates in industry organizations and events. REQUIRED SKILLS: - Direct broker sales experience strongly desired - Active PA, NJ, & DE State Health License required (or will have to be obtained within 90 days) - Three to five years sales experience, broker experience preferred - Strongly prefer someone with previous Individual sales experience. If not, must have health/ carrier sales experience. - College degree required or equivalent industry experience - Sales Rep preferred to live in assigned territory. - Someone who can work with little direction and day to day management intervention.
