We are looking for A Subject matter expert who has experience from both product implementation and IT services.
Small to mid-size implementations with hands on experience with implementations for companies between 20 and 80 million.
Recent experience with an IT services organization managing consultants and project management of ERP/ Workflow implementations.
The Client is looking for a Subject Matter Expert - Enterprise Management Solutions to join our Graphic Communications Group. The Client Business Workflow Product Group is launching a new ERP/MIS solution, Client Enterprise Management Solution (EMS), targeted at the Graphic Arts industry. The SME will work closely with the regional EMS sales and services teams to lead the customer implementation engagements from project opening to signoff for new Client EMS customers.
The SME will work closely with the on-site implementation consultants to coordinate the project, track and analyze progress, and provide status reports and guidance to the project team and Business Workflow management team. Specific activities include the planning, management and delivery of implementation project plans as follows:
PLANNING:
Creation, update and maintenance of project plans utilizing the Client EMS implementation methodology and templates.
Support the resource forecasting and planning activities across multiple concurrent projects for the regional EMS team.
Ensure that the go-live and transition are planned and executed properly.
MANAGEMENT:
Manage multiple concurrent implementation projects across the US&C region. May also include supporting worldwide projects as needed.
Coordinate regular meetings and status updates to monitor the execution of the project against the plan.
Maintain the project budget, regularly comparing actual versus project performance and metrics.
Actively work with Stakeholders to mitigate risks by maintaining a risk assessment and management plan.
Lead the documentation of implementation specific customizations and requirements.
Actively anticipate further enhancements that could be made to the application.
Support reporting against the project plans.
Definition and introduction of project control processes and metrics.
Preparation for project review meetings to Client/Customer project teams and to Business Workflow management.
Monitor success indicators and gauge success of resource optimization and project delivery.
Assure we can deliver fabled service through our processes without need for heroics.
TRAVEL:
Some travel will be required (approximately 10-20%).
Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor*s Degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Accreditation in a project management program is an asset.
Minimum 3 years experience of Project Planning / Scheduling.
Advanced Certification in MS Project 2002 or 2003 (or extensive experience using it).
Experience with MS Project Server 2003 an asset.
Experience in large scale implementation project planning and a thorough understanding of planning concepts, including critical path, float, baseline, outlining, dependency, Gantt, network.
Experience with implementing manufacturing ERP solutions is an asset.
Good understanding for Project Management methodology.
Good organization and communication skills.
