Global corporation seeks an experienced Patent Attorney with a Materials or Polymers background to work from home for an indefinite and long-term basis. Job responsibilities include:
' Prepare and prosecute US Patent Applications on a broad selection of inventions
' Implement and manage intellectual property strategies for various projects in collaboration with scientists and analysts
' Manage the preparation and prosecution work by mentoring agents and coordinating outside counsel work
' Prepare and negotiate various Intellectual Property agreements
' Provide oversight for various government contracts and negotiations
' Provide patent counseling for one or more assigned research groups
' Coordinate activities with patent attorneys from other GE businesses
' Provide patentability, non-infringement and invalidity opinions
Qualifications/Requirements:
* A Law Degree from an accredited US Law School
* Admission to at least one state bar or the DC bar
* Registered to practice before the US Patent &Trademark Office
* A minimum of 25 patent applications drafted from scratch and 50 prosecuted.
' Unrestricted work authorization in the US is required.
