An experienced registered nurse (RN) with strong managerial skills needed at this growing managed care not-for-profit. The Manager of Medicare is responsible for managing patient care, performing preadmissions, concurrent and retrospective reviews to evaluate appropriateness of admission, length of stay, utilization of resources and usage of other service post encounters. Seeking a self-starter who takes initiative, has excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to apply nursing process and system theory to problem activities.

Manager of Medicare will:
Assist with the development, organization, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities related to the outcome management of assigned patients
Act as a resource and consultant to staff in the planning and delivery of patient care within the network
Manage patient care, perform preadmissions, concurrent and retrospective reviews to evaluate appropriateness of admission, length of stay, utilization of resources and usage of other service post encounters
3-9 years of RN experience
2 years of clinical experience and case management (Medicare) experience
Utilization management experienced
Strong Microsoft Office skills .
