Director, Application Development Product Mgmt

We prefer this position to be located in one of our offices in the US however; this can be a work from home/virtual position in the US as well.
The Director will be a key member of the management team and responsible for the development and execution of the overall product strategy for Custom Application Development services at USi.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Define new market opportunities and offerings; manage existing portfolio; establish product definition including value proposition, differentiation, pricing, features, services, and roadmap; maintain market knowledge of competition, industry, vendor strategies, and buying behaviors.
2. Coordinate with Sales &Marketing on the rollout of new product initiatives, including providing the core marketing content, value proposition, and sales training.
3. Coordinate with the consulting and service delivery teams, as well as other internal constituents to build and maintain the official product definition documents (e.g. service definition, contracts, proposals, etc) that detail USi standard solutions.
4. Work with Sales, Client Executives, Project Managers, and end customers to identify new product attributes and services that provide additional value to our Custom Application Development clients.
5. Identify and recommend approaches/options (i.e.: build, buy or partner) to fill product/service gaps.
6. Serve as the owner of the product roadmap including new product initiatives, identifying and eliminating risks to ensure that new product offerings are launched on-time and can be sold and supported effectively.
Required Skills:
-Demonstrable experience with Application Development and eCommerce business processes and technologies (5+ years min of leadership experience, 7+ years of overall management experience).
-Extensive domain experience in one or more of the following areas: Development based on market-leading J2EE -compliant application servers, including BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss, is required. Similar knowledge and experience with the Microsoft .NET Framework, is required. Domain experience to include knowledge of the products capabilities, market positioning, and vendor roadmaps, for the purposes of creating and managing USi s product roadmap.
-Additional domain experience to include enterprise portals, web services, SOA, and communication protocols like WDSL, UDDI, SOAP, ebXML, JCA etc., is desired.
-Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) frameworks and processes, like Rational Unified Process, etc., is desired.
-Deep understanding of customer buying patterns and influences, market trends as either a highly informed buyer and/or seller of Application Development and eCommerce consulting services and technologies (visionary potential is preferable).
-Understands the Application Development and eCommerce marketplace (ISVs, systems integrators, etc), and established working relationships are a plus.
-Product management, product marketing, or hands-on experience within the Financial Services, Manufacturing, and/or Healthcare verticals is preferred.
-Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
-Knowledge of web hosting and managed services is a plus.
-MBA is preferred.
