Intelligenxe, Inc., a former World Trade Center subtenant, was an innovative Wall Street firm. In 2004, after years of research and development on the OFIP (its proprietary business model), the company was positioned to revolutionize Wall Street! and start its large-scale development stage. Unfortunately, this work had to be interrupted/postponed. Its founder/CEO and OFIP inventor, a Ph.D. from M.I.T., is currently working on restarting the company. Interns will thus work for its founder ( David R. Rivas, Ph.D., Investment Banker (intelligenxe.com) ) and not for the company, as it has not yet been reincorporated. INTERNSHIPS: They are highly innovative internships. Interns evaluate the OFIP proprietary business model and in turn obtain a deep understanding of the key drivers of asset management and investment banking firms. Once interns confirm the revolutionary advantages of the OFIP, they proceed to identify and contact prominent people/institutions relevant to the OFIP for the purpose of getting their formal opinion on its potential. Interns must assist at least one prominent person/institution performing the due diligence necessary to recognize the outstanding value of the OFIP for Wall Street. Interns also help optimize the corporate strategy.
Interns perform most of their work at home, online and have easy access to their supervisor by phone, email, intranet, etc.
REQUIREMENTS: To be a high initiative undergraduate or graduate student at a top U.S. university, and have a strong interest in the investment banking and asset management industry.
HOURS: These online, take-home internships allow flexible schedules and vary in duration - OFIP evaluation (approx. 40 hours), contacting prominent people/institutions (duration depends on skill of intern), and assisting prominent persons/institutions in due diligence (approx. from 5 to 20 hours).
COMPENSATION: They are non-paid yet valuable internships because (1) interns obtain high quality practical experience in investment banking guided by an experienced supervisor (they enhance resumes Intelligenxe, Inc. had numerous success stories), and (2) interns have the opportunity to network with prominent Wall Streeters, which may be crucial for getting good jobs in this competitive industry.
