External Job Description; Eaton Corporation located in the Atlanta, Georgia area has an opening for a UPS Customer Service Engineer. This person will be responsible for servicing electrical (high voltage environment) UPS systems and batteries and electronic based products at the customer's site, performing emergency and preventive maintenance and installation on a 24/7 on-call basis with regional responsibility. Individual can work from home and company vehicle will be provided. Individual will be responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of company products to include uninterruptible power supplies and batteries. Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serves as customer contact on technical and service related problems. Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.

Job Qualifications; Position requires an AA degree or military experience. Minimum of 3 years of UPS, battery technologies or electronic experience. The ability to utilize drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of precision diagnostic instruments. Must complete or have completed company paid training program, Power Trak, held in Raleigh, NC. Must demonstrate proficiency on all products and field processes. Must adhere to all published WSG safety standards. Must demonstrate an understanding of single phase and three-phase circuit theory, analog and digital electronic circuit theory and microprocessor controls and programming. Must have good understanding of network functionality, fiber optics and sealed and wet celled battery theory and application. Must be proficient in the use of test equipment and software programs. Customer focus and time management skills are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer relations skills. PC proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Windows. Occasional overnight travel will be required. Valid driver's license required. .
