Position details
Elanex is seeking a project manager to manage translation and localization projects. You will manage translators and editors to complete each project, recruit and evaluate new team members over time, and manipulate documents to ensure they meet client specifications. The work will be full time; but part-time work may be available for the right candidate that will be graduating with a translation degree within the next 6 months. You will be able to work from home or any Elanex office, although ideally you will be located within traveling distance of our San Francisco office where initial training and regular meetings will be conducted.
Requirements
* Proficiency in a 2nd language
* Experience in the translation industry
* Experience using a translation memory application
* PC with Windows XP/Vista and Microsoft Office 2003/7 (laptop is preferable)
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Willingness to learn Elanex's technology
* Organized, punctual, detail-oriented, and good at working in a team
* Eligible to work in the US
Desired qualifications (but not required)
* Experience as a translation project manager
* Experience with application programming
* Experience with DTP
* Entrepreneurial ambition
