"Description Essential Job Functions Provide complex, technical expertise in netWORK design for major clients. EvaluATe existing infrastructures and develop a new architecture, upgrade, or improve the IT environment for existing and new customers. Design new solutions FROM the ground-up when required.Provide written and diagramed architectural solutions to proposal requests by carefully evaluATing the customers requirements (RFP) as part of a proposal response team.Proposal team WORK typically occurs in the Northern Virginia area (Falls Church &Chantilly). WORK FROM HOME is acceptable with the understanding thAT routine travel to Virginia is required.ParticipATe in customer transition and transformATion activities as a netWORK engineering Subject MATter Expert.
QualificATions
Basic QualificATions
Must have eight or more years of experience in netWORK engineering, architecture or systems engineering.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Recent experience equATes to performing these duties within the past 5 years.
Must have excellent technical writing skills.
A Subject MATter Expert (SME) in one or more fields of NetWORK Engineering.
A well rounded knowledge of other IT disciplines.
The discipline to WORK effectively as part of a virtual/dispersed team is essential.
Must be able to WORK weekends or extended hours if necessary.
Excellent customer service skills and customer support background.
Extremely skilled AT multi-tasking and WORKing in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizATional and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal communicATion and customer presentATion skills.
Able to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines.
