SAP FI/CO Sr. Analyst
Chicago Loop Monroe/Canal St
Our client is seeking a SAP FI/CO Analyst. This is a great opportunity to be a member of a global team, broaden your exposure in other areas of SAP and new dimension products. The FICO Analyst will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day activities of the FICO team in supporting and developing our R/3, BW and SEM-BPS environments. Candidates should be strong projects managers with excellent communication skills. A solid understanding of accounting principles including Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance is required, thus prior accountancy experience is a must.
Smaller IT staff, so the opportunity to be more of a generalist, not strictly configuration or analyst.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities
* Day to day production support of SAP FI/CO modules including GL, AP, AR, AM, CCA, PC, COPA, ECCS and Special Ledger. This involves hands on co-ordination of the FICO team to ensure a fast, quality solutions are provided.
* Assist business colleagues in articulating new business requirements and translating them into effective information technology solutions. Support activities are approximately 30% of the role.
* Lead finance related projects in line with global IT strategy
* Liaison between business community and IT
* Act as a conduit for the alignment of business and IT goals and objectives.
* Maintain a current awareness of software product developments and trends and determine if and how they can be used to enhance productivity within the company.
* Lead in the development and implementation of new SAP applications and technologies.
* Participates as a member of the IT leadership team.
Pre-requisites and Experience
* BS/BA degree or equivalent.
* Multiple Full project life cycle experience in applications design, analysis, and implementation required.
* At least 3 years of SAP FI/CO Configuration and support of a live SAP production client required. including international experience
* Must have FI and CO. Other SAP module knowledge is a plus.
* SAP ABAP/4 or SAP BW, SEM-BPS experience is a plus.
* Demonstrated understanding of FI/CO interfaces and impacts ** both internal to SAP and external interfaces.
* Experience and qualifications in Accountancy.
* Ability to organize multiple assignments.
* Systems experience beyond SAP a major plus
* Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to travel internationally (20%)
