Our client, an up and comer in the plastics industry, is currently looking for a mid-level Outside Sales Rep for a direct hire position in their Central MN location (most clients are located in the Twin Cities and the right candidate would be able to work from home)

The Sales Rep will establish and manage the sales initiative as it directly pertains to the corporate growth plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties may be assigned.)
~Responsible for meeting the corporate sales objectives as established by management.
~Develop new sales strategy to meet long term growth objectives of company.
~Manage sales staff for all divisions.
~Identify key sales targets / markets and develop strategy to secure new business.
~Evaluate and determine what market presence is required at industry trade events (shows).
~Conduct and be involved in sales meetings with customers on a regular basis discuss strategy.
~Constantly searching for ways to improve and enhance product cost, quality and personal job performance.
~Work closely with Engineering and Estimation on new projects to assure timely delivery of design layouts, quotes, tooling, samples and finished product.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

~A thorough knowledge and proven experience in customer relations is mandatory.
~Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to function effectively with upper management, inter-company departments and specifically customers.
~Attention to detail and the ability to function quickly in an ever-changing environment and industry is a must.
~Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (thermoforming), accounting and shipping.
~Ability to perform multiple tasks / projects at the same time.
~Demonstrated leadership and success in sales.
~Ability to use common sense and face situations in an organized, factual manner to assure company is professionally represented as at all times.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
~Preferred: BA/BS in related field and minimum 5 years of Sales Management experience in the plastics industry thermoforming.
~Engineering background and or knowledge beneficial to overall scope of position.
~Understanding of PC software packages including Windows, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Solid Works (engineering software) and MRP systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
~Language and written communication skills are essential to this position in dealing with customers, as well as management. It is very important that communications are sincere, concise and at all times conveyed in a professional and appropriate manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
~Math is critical in our pricing, terms and margin calculations (company sells on margin, not mark-up). Sale s is responsible for meeting corporate gross margin requirements.
