In this role, you will:
Assist with the global deployment of a new reservoir simulator package.
Conversion of reservoir models from existing VIP projects.
Reconciliation of differing results between the different simulators
Testing, including development of test scripts and procedures
May include development or delivery of training
Mentoring, teaching new users new workflows
Troubleshooting of reported problems with the simulator and analysis of results.
Provide ongoing support for the simulator, and for associated programs.
Logging of support requests
Support will include trouble-shooting and problem solution
Development of workflows
Capture and documentation of best-practices.
20 -40 hours week
Work in Houston 6 months 2008
Then can work from home, but will spend 2 months/year at a major company site. Minimal additional (international) travel required.
Language skills ' English required. Others optional.
Significant experience as a practicing reservoir engineer performing reservoir simulation.
