Are you a seasoned Programmer looking for a more challenging position working from home? Then this position is for you. Position requires the candidate to have 5+ years in programming Fidelity's ALS Installment Loan application and/or converting accounts to ALS. Candidates must possess superior skills in COBOL and the ALS application. The key is experience performing ALS conversions. Additional skills requested but not required include JCL, Changeman (or equivalent), EZTrieve. Candidate must be strong in 'mapping' and testing. Accountable for developing software code and associated life cycle deliverables for PC and Mainframe apps. Interprets process, data modules, and bus. requirements into software code. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements/maintains moderate to complex computer programs &subsystems. Performs all of the steps required to design, test, and code such programs. Develops procedures and operating instructions and successfully moves programs into production. Provides production support through problems analysis &resolution to correct deficiencies. Analyze problem or new request; design problem or new request resolution; familiar w/ SDLC methodologies; develop program specs; design testing requirements; code modules according to specifications and client standards; prepare test plan and test modules; develop program/system documentation; conduct program/system implementation; maintain app. prod. environment; respond/resolve production problems; respond/resolve user inquiries. This is for remote candidates at any location. Candidates must supply their own home office and high-speed internet.
