Our client is first class when it comes to Web services. The company
is a well funded, privately held venture that has created a
patent-pending search engine for the intelligence industry that can analyze geographic information in a text. This amazing technology extracts geographic references in documents -- emails, web pages, newswires, and cables -- and displays the information in a map.
They are currently looking for a Pre Sales Field SE in
Cambridge MA position, NYC, NY and VA
Would love to see candidates out of such companies as
GIS background - Fast Search, CASI, Lockheed, ESRI, AutoDesk, Enterprise SW experience- Oracle, Documentum, SAP - Search experience - Google, Fast, Convera, Autonomy etc. Adobe
We are looking for the following:
3-5+ yrs.- someone who enjoys the technical sale, getting in front of customers, Pre Sales, work sales process.
-someone who comes out of the Publishing world
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills - C-Level presentations are critical
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a highly organized manner.
Able to handle multiple time-sensitive initiatives and competing priorities.
Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Superior listening skills to effectively ascertain user requirements.
Goal oriented, self-directed and self-motivated within a team environment.
Desire and ability to take ownership of producing stated operational objectives.
Search engine marketing or online advertising experience a big plus.
Qualified candidates will have Strong customer facing skills, Solid background in scripting languages (Perl, Python, JavaScript), good foundation in working in both Linux and Microsoft OS, self directed able to manage projects with little direction, strong analytical mind - able to diagnose problems. cycles.
Someone who would want the chance to work from home with 40%+ travel that is mostly within the region AND ARE DAY TRIPS.
A plus if coded at some point in their career * not language specific.
Must have rich understanding of Java and associated technologies.
-Start up mentality is a MUST. Must want to be a shareholder and part of building something
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (an MBA is desirable, but not required)
