Description : Morton Salt is seeking a National Account Executive for our Northeastern territory. The National Account Executive will work from home, preferably in the state of New Jersey.
This position is responsible for managing sales efforts at national accounts, including Wal-Mart, Sam's, Home Depot, Lowe's and Menards in assigned geography and assisting in achieving overall targets. This position will also be responsible for conducting competitive intelligence gathering activites.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Conduct DM and RM sales calls within geography at all assigned accounts not covered by National Account Managers, in geographies with significant water conditioning volume.
2. Prospect for potential growth opportunities in these accounts, taking direction from National Account Managers.
3. Secure secondary displays, sell in truckload events and merchandise as needed at select National Account outlets in hard water markets within geography.
4. Manage broker/merchandiser relationship on the local level, working with local representative to ensure proper merchandising of Morton Salt products.
5. Train broker reps, conduct Product Knowledge sessions to ensure proper knowledge of Morton Salt.
6. Identify, report and develop new business opportunities.
7. Track and report on competitive activity/developments observed in the field and conduct comparison price audits as necessary.
8. Maintain internal customer files thorough timely call-notes submission and related customer data tracking and provide complete communication to the NAM'S regarding findings in accounts.
9. Provide account-level data for post promotion analysis and coordinate with internal and external groups as needed.
10. Interface with Segment Manager, Customer Service, Production and other functions as needed.
11. Other duties as requested.
This position requires travel for customer visits, approximately 70% in the field.
We are looking for candidates with strong organization, communication, presentation, time management skills and selling skills. Two years of consumer products related sales experience is preferred and Big Box/National Account experience is a plus. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field.
