Microsoft Field Engineer
We are currently seeking a Microsoft Field Engineer. The ideal candidate will work from home and travel daily to customer sites. This individual will support the enterprise servers, desktops and networks for our financial customers. This includes the planning, design, installation and routine maintenance of their corporate LAN.

Position Qualifications for Microsoft Field Engineer:

MCSE certification

Expert level Microsoft Server knowledge; Active Directory, Exchange 2000/2003

SQL and Exchange 2007 experience a plus

5 Years IT customer service / service support experience

Experience with system migrations; from Novell to Microsoft

Must have strong desktop deployment skills

Excellent problem solving skills

Ability to recommend complete infrastructure strategies

Ability to lift 60 lbs or more

Must be comfortable with 100% travel, primarily throughout the Northeast

Requirements
Primary Responsibilities of Microsoft Field Engineer:

Install and configure servers, PCs, and peripheral devices

Provide hardware and software support; train staff on system use

Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel

Coordinate transfer of customer data during system upgrades or machine breakdowns

Transport, set-up, and maintain systems for special events such as trade shows or conferences
