We are currently seeking a Meditech Clinical Analyst to join our team. This team member serves as the day-to-day contact person for the Customers and Vendors regarding health care information system modules.
Included in the day-to-day responsibilities of this multi-faceted position are:
Providing Tier 2 support to clients of the Meditech Service Center.
Keeping the Application Support Services Manager, Vice President/Director of Information Systems and associated departments informed of all events affecting the HCIS modules, including but not limited to hardware problems, software testing and personnel training.
Acting as project manager, and, when necessary, assisting in accomplishing the activities and responsibilities of the Application Analysts assigned (e.g., planning for and conducting training and software testing).
Reviewing all custom programming and enhancement requests for appropriateness and completeness that are submitted by the department Application Analysts to determine appropriate action - i.e., pass to Service Center Help Desk, HCIS vendor, change hospital policy or procedure, pass to the hardware vendor, use the report writer, or a combination of these actions.
Documenting, tracking, and following-up on all reported problems, enhancement requests, and system change requests for the HCIS modules.
Working with all Information Systems Department areas (Systems, Operations, and other Service Center representatives) and the Manager of the service center to assure that a consistent approach is followed throughout the installation and maintenance of the HCIS modules.
Insuring testing of all software updates/new releases for the HCIS modules.
Insuring customer needs concerning applications support are met or exceeded.
Attending all meetings and training sessions that are approved by management and conducted by HCIS Vendor personnel for the HCIS modules.
Assuming on-call responsibilities for after hour support of HCIS modules, responding in a timely manner and documenting occurrences (i.e., problems, calls).
Duration of on-call is one full week at a time, rotation depending on staffing.
Position Requirements:
3 years or more experience with Client Server Meditech - experience with one or more of the following modules is required: EMR, LAB, ITS, PCS, POM, OR, PCI, NUR, EDM, PHA.
This a work from home position
Candidates will need to be able to attend a four week training session in Nashville, TN.
