Well established, progressive wholesale greenhouse operation seeks a dynamic Sales Manager for East Coast territories to increase Nurserys share of the green goods market in the sales area assigned, by developing and executing an effective sales plan that meets customer needs and companys goals.
Position Description: We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven, relationship orientedArea Sales Managerto join a growing staff of professionals. This position will be located from yourhome office (yes, work from home!) Candidates must love outside sales and have experience managing a territory of exciting clients as well as driving new business.
Job Requirements: * Must have prior experience in sellingbusiness to business. * Must havehorticulture or green goods experience, preferably five or more years from one or more areas of the industry:RetailGardenCenter; Landscape Organization; Horticulture Company. * Able and willing to travel a minimum of 150 days per year. * Maintain a home office for correspondence, communications, and reporting. * Be computer and software knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Power Point &Email. * Have ability to develop and manage a budget. * Be a self-starter and able to work with a minimum of supervision. * Have the ability and willingness to make training and product group presentations, i.e. public speaking capabilities. * Be well organized, energetic and punctual. * Readily accept responsibility. * Demonstrate leadership and team spirit.
Responsibilities: . Develop new customers consisting of Independent Garden Center (IGC) dealers and Landscape Companies (LSC). . Increase sales of company products to existing IGC and LSC accounts. . Assist sales team in developing and implementing Marketing and Sales Program. . Be an active participant in Trade Shows. . Plan weekly, monthly and annual sales goals and expense budget. . Use automated sales tools to report weekly, monthly and annual contact reports.
