Job description:
We are working with our client in locating 2 Instructional Designers. One Instructional Designer will focus in the Private Banking line of business and the second one will focus on systems/applications and business process training.
In this role, you will:
1. Design, develop, deliver and assess success of instructionally sound learning solutions that support the learning and development needs of the client's Wealth Management Group and other partners. Learning activities may address Team Member and management development, product knowledge, sales skills, technical and application skills, change management, and so on.
* Create effective learning activities using appropriately varied delivery formats and tools, such as computer-based training, virtual classroom and instructor-led classroom instruction, job aids, etc.
* Design and develop course assessments
* Maintain an understanding of current industry and technological developments
* Manage the content development relationship with outside vendors hired for course development work
* Document design and development work coherently and consistently, facilitating transition to other Team Members when necessary
* Ensure compliance of developed materials with applicable branding, writing, and visual style guidelines
2. Assist Curriculum Manager in conducting needs analysis to identify target audience, analyze performance gaps and determine appropriate solution/s.
* Consult with LOB partners (such as business analysts, product managers, project managers, application developers, and organizational process owners) to identify training needs
* Propose creative learning solutions (options) appropriate for business and learning objectives
* Determine and clarifies learning objectives that are consistent with project business objectives
* Determine assessment strategy
3. Consult with subject matter experts, Compliance, Legal and other partners to gather and define relevant and appropriate instructional content.
* Establish and maintains successful working relationships
* Appropriately negotiate or escalate development challenges
* Facilitate discovery, content gathering, and review meetings efficiently and effectively
* Proactively document design decisions and distributes for review and confirmation
* Provide support for subject matter experts in development tasks and tools
4. Advocate for learners in terms of content relevance, usability and availability.
5. Ensure that instructional materials have been reviewed and approved appropriately by Compliance, Legal and subject matter experts.
6. Contribute to evaluation of program value (ROI).
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Up to one year
Location: San Francisco, CA. Must work onsite 3 days a week and can work from home the other 2 days.
