Location: New York, NY
Description:
Recruiting and staffing of this position is being handled by Mom Corps on behalf of our client.
Our Client is looking for a Manager to Lead, or assist the leader of the team through the entire audit process.
-Candidate is able to work from home 3-4 days a week and mustbe able to work in NYC 1-2 days. 40hr work week, No weekend hours
-Must have at least 4-6years SEC experience and CPA is a must.
- Prepare all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness and accuracy.
- Develop an understanding of your client's business, and become a functional expert in the area.
- Monitor and report the productivity of staff, and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment.
- Keep abreast of current developments as they affect GAAP and the firms standards and policies.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and their effects on your client's competitive position.
- Anticipate and address client concerns, and escalate problems as they arise.
- Recognize and inform senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services provided to clients.
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education and obtain additional certifications as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field
- CPA is a must
- A minimum of 6+ years experience in Public Accounting with expertise in all aspects of external audit.
- Solid understanding of audit and attest services within any of the following areas: financial statement audit, regulatory compliance, due diligence and structuring, process and controls, or assertions and agreements
- Extensive knowledge of FASB regulations, and GAAP
- Must have the ability to perform independently and respond to tight deadlines and be able to consult effectively and become recognized as a valued resource both by clients and within the Firm
- Communicates in a direct and respectful manner with external contacts and internal resources
