Job Description: We are seeking an experienced professional to fill an Applications Developer II position in our Mayfield office. We have a terrific office work environment and we also offer the opportunity to work from home part of the week. Demonstrate an ability to gather business requirements from the end-users and formulate a technical translation of the business requirements into a software coding assignment ranging from 8-400 hours. Organize a technical software coding assignment in its entirety and articulate it as a logical sequence of tasks. Demonstrate an ability to estimate tasks in a plan both in terms of hours and due dates. Assess problems/assignments and recommend solutions that are congruent with the existing or planned CBIZ applications environment. Identify key risk points with various assignments and construct test points and QA points that address and mitigate those risks. Learn and practice daily, the relevant CBIZ IT policies and procedures. Work closely with Lead or PM to align work tasks with current department priorities. Leverage Microsoft .Net development tools contained with Microsoft Visual Studio M Maintain a close relationship with the IT technical staff members to properly deliver information systems that support CBIZ business requirements. Practice sound change management behaviors consistent with policies and procedures Formulate test plans, data migration or data conversion plans. Identify and mitigate risk points before they occur. Implement and communicate recommendations for solutions. Allocate time based on work priorities, in accordance with current priorities. Identify and work to resolve assignments that may conflict in some way, or require the same resources. Identify &manage dependencies in testing activities. Understand data models that support the CBIZ business requirements for pertinent assignments. Perform structured testing using test plans and creative scenarios that fully exercise code Initiate end-user communication as necessary to clarify, further define, or conclude issues that surface related to business requirements. Maintain focus on fulfilling tasks estimates both in terms of total hours, as well as agreed upon due dates. Check-up on work that has been placed into production and ensure it is working as expected. Identify education deficiencies and other opportunities for improvement.

Requirements: Education pertaining to software development and software applications, a bachelor s degree preferred Clear and concise oral and written communication skills Sound interpersonal skills and experience with working alongside the business community as an IT representative working toward a common objective Ability to maintain priority and focus, yet flexible enough to alter when called upon Experience with a software development methodology. Experience with estimating tasks in terms of effort level, hours and due dates. Knowledge of the Microsoft .Net development environment to include operating system characteristics, underlying SQL 2000 and/or SQL 2005 database features, and development tools. Willing to travel up to 10% 3-8 years of experience as a software developer is expected.
