Job Description: We are seeking an Applications Developer in our Mayfield office. We have a terrific office work environment and we also offer the opportunity to work from home part of the week. Given assignments ranging from 8-80 hours, and given direction from a Lead or Project Manager, demonstrate an ability to understand the assignment and organize it into a logical sequence of tasks. Assess problems/assignments and recommend solutions that are congruent with the existing or planned CBIZ applications environment. Develop/execute test plans for assigned projects, as well as identifying key risk points. Work closely with Lead or PM to align work tasks with current department priorities. For each assigned task, properly define, estimate duration and due dates. Identify and mitigate risk points before they occur. Implement and communicate recommendations for solutions. Allocate time based on work priorities, in accordance with current priorities. Identify &manage dependencies in testing activities. Understand data models that support the CBIZ business requirements for pertinent assignments. Perform structured testing using test plans and creative scenarios that fully exercise code. Check-up on work that has been placed into production and ensure it is working as expected. Identify education deficiencies and other opportunities for improvement.

Requirements: The position requires basic professional experience or adequate education related to programming and working with software applications. Clear and concise oral and written communication skills are also essential to for this position. An understanding of the system development life cycle is also essential. This includes the understanding of source code control, testing and test plans, as well as change control. Education pertaining to software development and software applications, a bachelor s degree desired Clear and concise oral and written communication skills Ability to maintain priority and focus, yet flexible enough to alter when called upon Knowledge of the Microsoft .Net development environment to include operating system characteristics, underlying database features, and development tools.. Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite a plus Oracle PL/SQL knowledge a plus Knowledge or basic accounting principles a plus Willing to travel up to 10% 1-2 years of experience as a software developer, a plus.
