Manufacturer of composite materials seeks a Technical Sales professional to drive business development in Eastern territory for this expansion position. This company works closely with DoD customers to develop materials that meet their specific application needs. As Territory Manager, you will develop sales to Department of Defense, naval contractors, shipyards and tooling house customers along the Eastern seaboard.
- You will assume responsibility for existing accounts, and work to develop new customers and business opportunities to increase the company s presence in this market.
- You will develop contacts with customers and contractors to get the company s materials specified into various projects.
- You will travel to customer sites to make presentations.
- You will work from a home office.
- This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.
Position is bonus eligible.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree required. Engineering or other technical degree a strong plus.
- 8 Years minimum outside Sales experience, selling a technical product.
- Must have experience selling to Defense, naval shipyard, government, or related industry.
- Must have experience with a specification type sales process.
- Knowledge of composite materials a strong plus.
- Must be able to travel 60%.
- Personal characteristics necessary include drive, focus, integrity.
