Engineering Consultant client that is actively looking for a Project Manager for its Raleigh, NC/State of North Carolina market. Candidate needs 7+ years of experience in HVAC/controls design, construction, testing and/or commissioning; working knowledge of DDC controls; diverse HVAC systems; design and construction methods, procedures and protocols; demonstrated ability to manage projects; hands-on field experience in the operation/maintenance of building systems; experience in using field test equipment; ability to work independently on small projects and lead a team on larger projects; and strong computer (MS Word/Excel), technical writing, and communication skills. A PE with the ability to get a North Carolina PE with 2 months, and an Engineering degree is a MUST. The client will allow you to work from home or will set you up in an office. The successful candidate will be responsible to: develop a work plan for the project and determine resource requirements; assist in the preparation of proposals and pricing; write commissioning plans, prefunctional test checklists, and functional test procedures; create project schedules, specifications, system descriptions, and basis of design documents; participate in design reviews and equipment startup; work with project construction teams to integrate the commissioning process into the project schedule; perform prefunctional and functional testing; assist with resolution of design and construction issues; assure the scope of work is accomplished on time and within budget; provide client systems training; compose meeting minutes, project progress reports, deficiency logs, and final reports; review project costs and approve project invoices; and negotiate fees for work outside the agreed scope of work.
