Skills Required; This position requires a Master`s degree in coastal engineering, ocean engineering or related science.
At least 5 years experience in the field of coastal or ocean engineering or related marine science since master`s degree. Additionally, 8 years experience in project production and technical professional activities, two of these working as a senior technical professional or associate project manager, is required.
Candidates should have excellent working knowledge of analysis and design of coastal and hydraulic projects, marinas and harbors, navigation and dredging, and restoration of shorelines.
Familiarity with the US Army Corps of Engineers Shore Protection Manual or Coastal Engineering Manual is required. Experience in computer or physical modeling of coastal processes is required. Candidates must possess strong oral/written communication skills, be able to oversee projects and direct/advise project team members. Marketing and project presentations will be required. This position will require occasional travel and the ability to work away from the home office.

PBS&J is seeking a Project Manager to join the Coastal &Waterways Division in our Tallahassee office. Job duties will include:
Management of projects, data analysis, permitting, report preparation and modeling tasks for coastal projects.
Supervise engineering personnel in the Coastal Services Group by his/her leadership as Project Manager.
Review project results, documents, and field data collection programs to verify accuracy and completeness in content and approach. Write, review and edit reports.
Prepare proposals for new projects and assist in the development of the program.
Prepare project budgets, negotiate contracts and be active in all stages of project management.
Maintain client relations from proposal preparation to project completion.
Assist the Program Manager with marketing strategies for the Coastal Services group and provide input for the growth milestones set by company management.
Occasional travel and the ability to work away from the home office is required.
