Procurement Specialist Job Description:
Our client, a designer of food preservation devices, is currently looking for someone to help them out with procurement. The company is located in Newport Beach, but work may be done from home. This position is expected to last 6 months to 1 year. It is a full time position.
This position will be responsible for preparing specifications, with the assistance of development engineers, to be used for the purchase of components (valves, actuators for fluid control). Will also coordinate with development engineers to write technical specifications and work with the CFOs office and responsible purchasing office to source vendors, track all purchased components and report status. Also establish cost and delivery tracking report, maintain and report delivery variations, work with vendors on cost, technical issues which may potentially impact purchased item performance, cost or delivery, work directly with freight forwarder and coordinate movement of special equipments shipping to foreign ports.
Our client is looking for someone with experience with ball style valves, or butterfly valves. Purchasing components for high pressure fluid control machinery is preferred.
