The Hershey Company's Internal Audit Department has a structured career program where qualified professionals perform integrated audits in an SAP environment. Our staff members are encouraged and supported in their development and pursuit of professional certifications. Staff are highly effective in their jobs and receive extensive exposure to all facets of the organization and many levels of management. As a result of this exposure, our Department has become a key developmental organization whose members frequently are sought to fill various professional staff and entry-level management positions throughout the Company.
Due to the frequent promotion of our staff into higher-level positions, we have a periodic need for new team members. We seek experienced auditors who are highly motivated and possess good analytical skills, a professional demeanor and high ethical standards. Diverse backgrounds and bilingual skills are highly desirable. Successful candidates will work as a member of an integrated audit team and conduct assessments of the Company's internal control environment. Project work involves many emerging areas, including assessing the adequacy of security and controls in new information systems, supporting compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Section 404, special assignments related to acquisitions and matters of corporate governance, as well as business processes traditionally evaluated by professional audit departments. The work is varied, challenging and rewarding. Our success occurs through collaboration, personal leadership and coaching.
Our well-respected Audit Department of 14 professionals, who are based in Hershey, PA, covers all significant aspects of the Company, including its operations in Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Asia. Business travel averages 20% per year, and out-of town trips usually consist of two consecutive weeks, often with intermediate weekends at home. Although overtime occurs periodically, our staff members still maintain rewarding personal lives outside the office. Staff also enjoy an occasional telecommuting day where they can work from home. Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Communications, Logistics, Computer Science, Management Science and Information Systems, Finance, International Business and or Business Administration.
2+ years in Internal Auditing, Public Accounting, Information Technology, Consulting and/or general accounting.
