Safeco has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and analytical-minded individual to join our Casualty Claims team. This is a telecommuting position available to candidates in the Cincinnati area and/or surrounding vicinities!
As a casualty claims examiner for auto claims, you will:
Use your strong decision-making skills to investigate and maintain a caseload of auto liability claims with injuries
Showcase your analytical skills to determine coverage and settle claims
Use your strong communication skills to secure information and educate the customer
Strengthen your multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Working as a Casualty Claims Examiner, the selected candidate will specifically handle injury claims as a result of auto accidents that require extensive file investigation to resolve coverage and liability issues as well as damage assessment. The selected candidate will manage a perpetual claims pending with heavy telephone contact with insureds, claimants, attorneys and third parties. This is a telecommuter position open to qualified candidates residing in the Cincinnati metro area.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree or equivalent years of experience required
Prior experience handling auto liability claims required
Bodily injury/casualty claims experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience with personal computers, knowledge of MS Office software
Prior experience in a fast-paced, multiple priority, customer-focused environment is preferred
Ability to work independently from home and have access to high speed internet service
