Description
Market leading communication product development company has an immediate need for a Project Manager / Implementation Engineer-- Telephony/GIS Products, who can based anywhere East of the Mississippi.
The person in this position will be dedicated to te company's Command and Control division. The C&C division addresses the communication product needs of control rooms and operation centers, specifically in the public safety arena. This includes the dispatch of police, fire, and medical apparatus and personnel. This sector can be separated into municipal, county, and state police, as well as other groups responsible for protecting individuals and property.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation of telephony equipment.
Installation of Client / Server computer equipment.
Coordination of installation processes and 3rd party vendors and telephone companies.
Support for customer site installation phase of projects.
Heavy travel (75-100%) within the US.
Maintain ongoing project support, including:
Conference calls
Gauntt and status tracking
Job hour tracking
Issue / problem tracking
Customer GIS file configuration.
User and technical training for customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical school or BS in Communications a plus
Microsoft SQL
ESRI GIS
Computer networking
MCSE a plus
Familiarization of 911 industry
Familiarization of telephony (Norstar) products a plus
Experience in Project Management
Trouble shooting techniques
Candidates can be based anywhere east of the Mississippi. They must be willing to travel to customer sites (mostly public safety agencies) within the US 70-100% of their time to implement, instal, support, etc. the division's products. When candates are not traveling to a client site, they can most likely work from home.
