Are you a Senior Oracle DBA who would like to drive a high profile project to build a huge Data Warehouse (4 to 10 Terabytes) from the ground up? This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the architecture, design, and Data Warehouse tool evaluation and selection. You will also be responsible for both production and development standard DBA responsibilities on a on going basis. The environment includes Oracle 10g, 9i, and 8i and the platform is Solaris and Linux. You will do heavy duty performance tuning as well. Looking for a Senior Oracle DBA with 5+ years of proven performance that can mentor others and drive projects to successful completion. Excellent work environment including flex hours, casual dress. and the "potential" to work from home 1 to 2 days a week. This is a contract to permanent position.
Required Experience
7 + years as a Production and Development Oracle DBA
3+ years of strong Data Warehousing experience
4+ years of OLTP
3+ years of SQL Development
UNIX (prefer Solaris and Linux)
Shell Scripting
Job Scheduling
SAN / Disk Configuration
Oracle 10g (release 1 &2)
Oracle 9i
Oracle 8i
Stored Procedures
RAC
Strong Tuning experience including: Query optimization, Init.ora configuration, Memory optimization, Table/Index analysis, etc
Development, testing, and troubleshooting of :Packages, stored procedures, views, triggers, materialized views
Partition strategies
Excellent communication skills
