Position: Midlevel .NET Developer / Analyst
Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000

*Design and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
*Consult with client to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to attain client approval.
*Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
*Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with program.
*Train end users or technical support staff to use programs.
*Analyze, install, and test upgrades of externally developed application programs.
*Monitors performance of programs after implementation.

Project Description :
As a Developer for our client, you'll consult with customers to analyze their needs and objectives, including desired features, requirements, etc:
*Analyze, define, and document system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
* Write and maintain functional and technical specifications.
*Develop and maintain plans outlining steps and time estimates for developing, testing, and installing applications.
*Research and evaluate software and hardware to assist in programming
*Strong Development skills in ASP.NET - either C# or VB.NET (at least 2 years of advanced Web Development)
*Strong Communication skills, time management, ability to multi-task (juggle multiple deadlines and sometimes unexpected requests).
*Willingness to assist in continual refinement of development process, including evaluating/learning new tools to support a growing project list.
*Ability to be flexible and support day-to-day tasks while making progress on one or more projects.
*Ability to understand and articulate the goals of our clients into a working/useful system
*Ability to be self-motivated while balancing directions, requirements, and peer input.
*Ability to work in a team environment and offer and/or support ideas.
Nice to Haves:
*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
*Microsoft Certifications: MCSD/MCAD/MCP
Other Details:
*Projects will be Web applications such as course management systems, financial budgetting and reporting systems, and research data collection tools. Projects vary in size and scope; 1-2 larger projects per year (lasting over a year)
*Projects are at vaarying stages of development. Over 30 applications that need to be maintained as well.
*Traditional methodologies - modified waterfall, implemented IBM Rational tools.
*Will work with about 2-4 others in a team; another app developer, designer, database developer, tech writer; team lead responsibilites probable; 70% team environment
*Fast paced. Very little overtime. Required to complete timesheet for charging clients although 99% of clients are internal to the school.
*Work with clients directly; 2% off site
*Only travel for conferences/training * not to visit clients .
