Lubricant Sales Engineer (Direct Job Opening, 50% travel, $55k base, Opportunity for bonus up to $10k additional annually) ' Southfield
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Technical bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry (or equivalent experience).
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
-2 years previous experience in lubricants/oils sales is a must.
-Excellent customer relations skills and previously established contacts within OEM assembly plants.
-Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record; Secretary of State checks will be conducted.
-Proficient in MS Office programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Develop and expand sales and customer base.
-Collaborate with customer to determine their needs and to resolve service issues.
-Collaborate with executives, engineers and chemists to determine their needs and to resolve service issues.
-Effectively present new technologies to customers and make appropriate recommendations.
-Perform regular marketing analysis studies and organize data for formal presentations.
-Assist with follow up laboratory testing.
-Support regional distributors with technical/data support.
-This position requires extensive overnight travel (50%) primarily in North America.
NOTES:
-Individual must be available to start work within 2 weeks of job offer; individuals who would need longer notice before starting could not be considered at this time.
-Please note that this is not a work from home sales position. Individual would be expected to report to the Southfield sales office daily when not on the road.
-There is no relocation assistance available for this position; Individuals would need to be local candidates or willing to relocate at their own expense in a short time frame.
-Please be prepared to present current and recent (last 3 to 5 years) salary information at the time of the interview.
