DESCRIPTION .
Midwest Technical Inspections, Inc. is a privately-owned company providing property inspections and premium audits to our insurance company customers for underwriting purposes. We are dedicated to providing our clients with a quality product in tandem with superior service, all at a fair price. With our Home Office in Hanover Park, IL our field staff and phone insurance premium auditors working from their homes, we currently service our clients' property, casualty inspection/insurance premium audit needs throughout the country.
As a result of our continued growth and expansion, we have Insurance Premium Phone Auditor positions available, either full-time or part-time. Premium auditors can work from home or report to the Hanover Park office based on preference. The successful candidate will have:
a background in the premium audit field or in audit review (required)
excellent oral and written communication skills in English
a strong work ethic, attention to detail
mathematical aptitude
strong organizational skills
an ability to interact professionally via telephone with insureds, clients and their representatives
proficiency in Excel and Word (required)
experience with automated audit programs (required)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete phone audits following NCCI and ISO Manual Rules, except where deviation is allowed by client or state exemption
Review applicable payroll, sales or related financial records as may be submitted for review in relation to completing the phone audit
Communicate problems, delays or audit status to the Home Office by phone, email or land mail on a weekly basis (at a minimum)
A Premium Auditor's work week is Monday - Friday (40 hours for Full-time, flexible hours for Part-Time.) We offer benefits to FT employees, including paid vacation, paid holidays, paid personal days, a Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan, voluntary dental insurance, and voluntary Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance Plans, as well as a 401(k) with company match.
